Stillness
Central, yet quiet — through acoustic separation and circulation planning. Corridor lighting is deliberately low, so sound and light settle as you approach your room.

GRAND ELE HOTEL — PREMIUM LINE
STILLNESS, IN THE CITY
GRAND ELE HOTEL is the premium line of ELE HOTEL, planned for the heart of the city. It sits next door to the noise — and yet, the moment the door closes, the street falls away. In rooms shaped by timber, stone and the soft light of washi paper, the hours become yours again. Considered interiors and attentive, human service: a stay one step beyond the everyday.
In preparationThe first property is currently in planning. Location, opening date and rates will be announced on this site as they are confirmed.
CONCEPT
Tokyo changes character from one street to the next. What decides a GRAND ELE site is not the distance to the station, but the quality of time in the neighbourhood — a location within reach of both the brightness of the main avenue and the quiet of the back lane.
Interiors are built on restraint. Solid timber, hand-trowelled plaster, indirect light filtered through washi. Rather than adding ornament, we leave the character of the materials visible, so the spaces deepen rather than date. Step into a room and the eye is drawn to the window: the city itself becomes part of the furnishing.
Above all, we care about the warmth of a human hand. A word at check-in, the pause before an umbrella is offered, a greeting in the morning. The small judgements that live beyond the manual are what make a stay worth remembering.

THREE PROMISES
Central, yet quiet — through acoustic separation and circulation planning. Corridor lighting is deliberately low, so sound and light settle as you approach your room.
Joinery, plasterwork and washi lighting made by Japanese craftspeople. Material quality is raised first where guests touch and where the eye rests.
Service from a small team you come to recognise. Requests are handled through a single point of contact and carried forward to your next stay.
ROOMS
All rooms are planned at 38 sqm or larger, with the desk and the lounge chair set apart so work and rest each have their own place.

42 sqm / King bed (1800 × 2000 mm)2 guests
The signature room, with a lounge chair set along the window. Solid walnut headboard, adjustable brass reading lights, and a dimming scheme that lets the evening run on indirect light alone.
58 sqm / King bed + day bed3 guests
A corner room with light on two sides. A timber lattice door divides living area and bedroom — open for one room, closed for two.
65 sqm / King bed + tatami area4 guests
A Japanese-Western suite with a raised Ryukyu tatami platform, light through shoji screens and a hinoki bathtub. For guests whose purpose is the stay itself.
38 sqm / Two single beds (1200 × 2000 mm)2 guests
For business travel and pairs. Generous space between the beds, each with its own light, power and side table.
Areas and specifications are as planned and may change in the completed property.

DINING
Ingredients measured by the distance they travel
A small counter-led restaurant is planned. Produce sourced close to its origin, drawn into focus through fire and dashi. Mornings bring a Japanese set breakfast and bread from the oven; evenings, a seasonal menu and à la carte.
The bar sits in the same quiet register as the guest floors — a place for one drink late in the evening. Japanese gin and whisky, alongside a non-alcoholic pairing built on Japanese tea.
Hours and offerings are at planning stage.
WELLNESS
Every room has a deep bathtub; upper categories are planned with hinoki or stone tubs. Amenities are to be developed with a Japanese manufacturer, with a single scent used throughout the hotel.
A fitness room for house guests and a quiet relaxation room are planned on site — available during opening hours, no reservation required.
